Captain Zaede has a problem. New Duke of Narthis scolded Urendale baron about unsafe roads and there is a Varannari raiders band scaring people on the road to Narthis. She wants a clean and complete removal. No improvisation. There is a politics involved.
Quest steps
- Talk to Captain Zaede and ask for the job.
- Get hints that Varranari leader can be convinced in a peaceful way from Summer Song (Charisma (3)).
- Approach Varannari clan leader Iron Nose and choose to convince him or fight him and his whole clan using optionally information from Summer Song.
- Choose direct approach and attack.
- Choose deception using Summer Song information and launch surprise attack passing Deception (3) and wounding Iron Nose (25% HP) and stunning whole clan.
- Choose peaceful approach using information from Summer Song and pass Human Insight (3) and continue in a non-threating way and pass Diplomacy (4) and Survival (4).
- Report the result to Captain Zaede.
